NBC's Olympic Studios design team of Jeremy Conway (Sex and the City set designer) and
Kim Jennings (Cider House Rules art director) was recently awarded a
2000 Sports Emmy.

The games of the XXVII Olympiad, which took place in Sydney, Australia,
won for the category of
Outstanding Production Design/Art Direction.

Newmat USA Ltd. is honored to have worked closely with Jeremy and Kim while installing various Newmat Stretch Wall and Ceiling Systems for NBC in its Prime Time and Morning Show studios and numerous editing rooms, including: microperforated membranes in blues and pale gray on walls for aesthetic and acoustical purposes; translucent membrane for cylinder ceiling above main desk; translucent custom shaped ceiling above Morning Show set, which housed studio lighting in the center; NewGraphic walls as a design feature in the control rooms; and prefabricated panels using microperforated membranes for acoustical value in editing rooms.
