Translucent Ceiling and acoustical comfort

When Third Point Management moved their existing facility to a larger location, it included two floors of office space. Slade Architecture’s design was based on a combination of highly reflective material to maximize the height appearance of the ceiling area, and a translucent material for backlit application which would provide the ambient light for the entry way and the main office area on both floors. James Slade chose Newmat L1/white lacquer membranes for its high-reflective quality to cover 5,800 square feet of offices and Newlight T0B/white translucent double-layer system to cover 4,300 square feet of entries and main offices. In addition, the translucent membranes were micro-perforated to provide the acoustical comfort required for this financial institution. The combination of both products creates a spectacular result.
